About The Role
Ripley Specialised Inpatient Services is a state-of-the-art facility that will deliver 90 additional beds in West Moreton as part of Queensland Health's Accelerated Infrastructure Delivery Program. The project will deliver a three-storey facility located on Botany Drive, South Ripley. It is located on the Ripley Health Campus and is co-located with the current Satellite Health Centre.
The ward will be operational 24 hrs day 7 days a week and staffed by a multidisciplinary team. The facility is equipped with internal and outdoor therapy areas with an on-demand food service model to compliment therapy programs.
About You
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
* Ability to apply specialised knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation nursing practice and participate directly and indirectly in the delivery of patient centred consultancy and clinical care with the ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative.
* Excellence in communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums and ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication, and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team inclusive of external stakeholders.
* Ability to manage patient flow, bed pressures and challenges associated with rehabilitation referrals and admission/discharge processes.
* Ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the utilisation of evidence-based research and best practice principles.
* Skills in strategic and clinical service planning including an understanding of organisational behaviour, change management and cultural change processes.
* Skills in clinical teaching, competency in the use of contemporary information systems and experience in the development of specialty education programs.
Mandatory Requirements
* Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
