Provide high level evidence based psychology services to patients of the Breast Surgery Service, within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework, informed by clinical supervision, consumer feedback, education, training and research.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Breast Surgery) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Provide advice to the multidisciplinary team and stakeholders
* Provide specialised psychology services to patients within the breast service
* Undertake clinical governance activities related to psychology
* Initiate and contribute to clinical research activities
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* Tertiary degree in Psychology
* AHPRA Registration
* Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
* Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
* Driver Licence
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

About Us
The Breast Surgery unit based at Robina Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient treatment to patients with breast pathology of a benign and malignant nature for the whole of the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service catchment. The unit is one of the highest volume breast units in the country, with approximately 500 new breast cancer diagnoses seen each year. The unit comprises 5 Breast surgeons, a dedicated Breast Care Nursing team and works in close collaboration with medical oncology, radiation oncology, Plastic and reconstruction surgery and Allied Health.
