Assistant Forensic Investigation Officer
Forensic Division's Fingerprints and Ballistics unit is seeking a Trainee Fingerprint Examiner.
Fingerprints and Ballistics is responsible for the provision of fingerprint analysis, reporting and presentation of evidence in court for the agency.
This includes the collection, recording, quality control, cataloguing and security of fingerprint material, management of agency systems and the development and review of related policies and procedures.
The incumbent must fully commit to the forensic training program, which may require attendance at other locations, including the Western Australia Police Academy in Joondalup.

Position Objective
Assists in contributing to the provision of an effective and efficient forensic examination service as part of the Western Australian Police Force major crime and critical incident response by, under direction, carefully documenting the conditions at a crime scene and identifying all relevant physical evidence.
