The Role:

We’re hiring a hybrid Governance Manager & Committee Secretary position to sit within out legal team here at AP+.

As the Governance Manager & Committee Secretary, you will serve as an influential driver and collaborator, working closely with the committee chairs and with the business to ensure that each governing committee achieves its intended objectives.

Reporting to our Head of Governance, this role will see you facilitate the effective governance of our member-facing scheme management committees.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing diverse committee meetings, strong stakeholder management skills, effective communication, and meticulous record-keeping.

Proposed Role Responsibilities are:

* Facilitate scheme management committees, ensuring they comply with scheme rules and terms of reference governing each committee.
* Manage the annual nomination process for committee members.
* Schedule and organise committee meetings.
* Collaborate with committee chairs and the Payment and Schemes and Legal team to plan decision approval pathways and document accordingly.
* Take detailed meeting minutes, track actions and decisions for follow-up, and distribute records to stakeholders.
* Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with governing documents and relevant governance and regulatory frameworks.
* Serve as the governance contact for committees, internal business teams, and external stakeholders.

Proposed Position Requirements are:

* Proven experience as a Governance Manager & Committee Secretary, ideally within the finance sector.
* Deep working knowledge of governance, committee processes, and compliance requirements.
* Polished written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills with an ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
