Purpose of the role:
As a Business Development Representative, you'll generate new business opportunities by identifying, qualifying, and engaging potential customers. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, building strong relationships and setting up our Account Executives and Commercial Energy Consultants for success.
This role is ideal if you're motivated, enjoy talking to customers conversations and want to grow your career in Sales (our Chief Sales Officer started in this position).
Duties & Responsibilities:
Proactively source and qualify new leads through outbound activity
Research prospects to understand their business and energy needs
Build rapport and trust through confident, engaging sales conversations
Maintain accurate customer records in the CRM
Move leads through the sales funnel with timely follow-up
Book quality appointments and hand over to the closing team
Work towards clear KPIs including calls, qualified leads, and appointments
Deliver a positive customer experience and support strong NPS outcomes
About You:
1 year + in a sales role
Motivated, resilient, and excited by sales targets
Confident communicator with strong listening skills
Organised and proactive with good time management
Comfortable handling objections and rejection
Keen to learn and grow in a sales career
This role is available for sponsorship for the right candidate. To consider sponsorship you must have a Bachelor's degree and 1 year Sales experience, or, 5 years Sales experience.
