Job Description
The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following:
* Prepare and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
* Analyse financial data to support decision‑making and strategic planning.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on financial matters.
* Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
* Other ad hoc activities may arise or this role may develop over time given the dynamic nature of the business and current transformation activities.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
* A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA are highly regarded.
* Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
* Experience using a large ERP such as SAP or Oracle.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
* Strong communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
