This role takes the lead on content execution across a wide variety of client campaigns and media. By driving delivery with clarity, insight, and momentum, you'll help create the space for leadership to focus more on strategic growth.
To do this well, it's important that both the scientific and creative aspects of the role are approached through the lens of orchestrated customer engagement. Every piece of content should contribute to a personalised experience across the full lifecycle of our relationship with the audience.
You'll be comfortable having smart conversations with clients, medical reviewers, and regulatory teams — and can present creative work with clarity and confidence, even in complex or compliance-heavy contexts.
**Core Responsibilities**:
Developing Content:
- Write, edit, and proofread scientific and medical content across various formats (e.g., promotional materials, educational content, digital content, press releases).
- Drive the scientific story: develop engaging and creative content that translates complex medical and scientific information into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including healthcare professionals, patients, and the general public.
- Ensure content is scientifically accurate, up-to-date, and reflects the latest clinical data and research.
- Create and manage brand messaging matrix and ensure message consistency across communications.
- Work in a broad range of formats such as video scripts, interactive online content, integrated educational programmes, animations, and podcasts, in addition to traditional print and digital mediums.
- Brand voice development - Play a key role in developing and maintaining a consistent brand voice across all content and platforms, aligning with the organisation's values and the expectations of its audiences.
Ensuring Compliance and Accuracy:
- Adhere to relevant guidelines and regulations (e.g., MTAA guidelines for advertising and promotion, Medicines Australia Code of Conduct, American Medical Association editorial guidelines, etc.) to ensure content compliance.
- Manage references, citations and annotations to ensure accuracy and make it possible for others to cite and check the content produced.
- Work with legal and regulatory teams to ensure all materials pass internal and external compliance checks.
Visual Storytelling:
- Collaborate closely with graphic designers, video producers, and digital media specialists to create visually appealing content that enhances comprehension and retention of scientific information.
- Participate in the conceptualization and development of visual aids, infographics, and animations that support and elevate textual content.
- Help produce ideas, concepts and campaigns that our clients will buy.
Digital Content Strategy:
- Understand and plan the content across the user journey. It's multifaceted and dynamic, especially when we are executing across channels.
- Contribute to the development and execution of digital content strategies, ensuring content is optimized for search engines (SEO), user engagement, and conversion rates.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure content performance and adapt strategies based on data insights.
Social Media Content
- Create and adapt content specifically for social media platforms, understanding the nuances of each platform to maximize engagement and reach.
- Stay current with social media trends and leverage these platforms to communicate scientific and medical information in innovative ways.
Content Personalisation:
- Employ strategies for content personalization to target specific audiences, understanding their unique needs, preferences, and challenges.
- Develop segmented content campaigns that cater to different stages of the customer journey, from awareness through decision-making.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, marketers, de
