Delivery Manager
Contract: 12 months + 2 × 12-month extension
Location: ACT – Hybrid
Clearance: Must have an active NV1 clearance
About the Role
A Delivery Manager is required to support a major Digital Uplift Program within a large organisation, operating in a complex ICT modernisation environment. Sitting within an Applications Modernisation function, this role will lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure project deliverables are met in line with government standards, frameworks, and stakeholder expectations.
You will oversee planning, delivery, reporting, and stakeholder engagement across a collection of work packages, ensuring strong alignment to organisational priorities and continuous improvement across delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee end-to-end delivery of ICT projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, and compliant with organisation requirements.
* Lead cross-functional delivery teams including analysts, writers, engineers, and project support resources.
* Develop and maintain delivery plans, schedules, milestones, and reporting artefacts aligned with PRINCE2, Agile, or similar frameworks.
* Monitor progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, providing regular updates to program leadership and senior stakeholders.
* Ensure compliance with organisation standards, governance processes, and regulatory protocols.
* Manage resource allocation, budgets, and tools to optimise delivery performance.
* Facilitate strong stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and communication across business and technical groups.
* Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned, industry best practice, and program insights.
Essential Criteria
1. Minimum 5 years' experience in delivery, project, or program management roles.
2. Demonstrated experience delivering ICT projects or programs in complex environments.
3. Strong stakeholder management capability.
4. Proven leadership and team management skills.
5. Demonstrated risk and issue management experience.
6. Strong delivery focus and track record of achieving outcomes.
7. Change management certification (e.g., PROSCI, APMG) highly regarded.
