PMO team members - long term contract (12X12X12)
As a result of a secured engagement with one of our National Security partners, Helix requires multiple Program Management Office professionals to join us on a long-term contract (12 months with expected extensions).
We are building a high-performing Program Management Office (PMO) to support a complex portfolio of initiatives with strong governance, financial oversight, and vendor management requirements for a critical national security customer.
This PMO team will play a critical role in enabling structured delivery, executive visibility, commercial control, and risk management across the program portfolio. We are seeking professionals at multiple levels who are passionate about governance excellence, delivery discipline, and driving measurable outcomes.
NV1 clearance is a minimum requirement for this environment however there will be an expectation that successful applicants will uplift to a TSPV clearance.
The PMO Function – This team will be responsible for:
* Establishing and maintaining governance frameworks and controls
* Managing vendor performance, compliance, and commercial oversight
* Providing executive-level reporting and portfolio insights
* Supporting financial management, forecasting, and cost control
* Ensuring structured risk, issue, and dependency management
* Driving consistency across project and program delivery
PMO Lead
* Provide strategic oversight of PMO governance, portfolio reporting, and vendor performance management. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and support executive decision-making.
Program Coordinator
* Coordinate governance forums, maintain RAID logs, track vendor milestones, and support reporting cycles to ensure structured program delivery.
Program Support – Finance & Reporting
* Manage budget tracking, forecasting, financial controls, and reporting. Support invoice validation and vendor financial governance.
Junior Project Manager
* Manage smaller projects or workstreams, oversee schedules and budgets, coordinate stakeholders and vendors, and ensure adherence to governance standards.
Risk Manager
* Develop and manage program risk frameworks, facilitate risk workshops, monitor risk exposure, and provide consolidated reporting aligned to enterprise risk policies.
What We're Looking For
* Experience working within structured PMO or governance environments
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills
* Exposure to vendor and commercial management
* Financial acumen and reporting capability (role dependent)
* A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
* Prior experience working with Australian defence and or Australian National Security community.
* Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or Risk Management qualifications are highly regarded.
