Our client, a recognised Australian transport and logistics success story, has grown significantly from its humble beginnings. With over 250 staff and 1000 drivers nationally, they are renowned for their reliable delivery services across Australia and New Zealand.
Reporting directly to the CEO and communicating essential updates to both the Board of Directors and the Senior Executive team, you will be managing three direct reports. Here are some key highlights of your core functions:
**HR Leadership and Strategy**
- Lead and guide managers and staff on HR matters, such as recruitment, remuneration, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Develop strategies to enhance HR function, forecast talent needs, and implement corrective actions.
**Recruitment and Employee Relations**
- Lead recruitment strategy, providing support to business managers.
- Stay updated on employee relations, employment contracts, and legal changes.
- Address HR queries, employee relations, and grievances, fostering a collaborative work environment.
**Performance Management and Training**
- Develop staff performance framework and promote a culture of excellence.
- Provide coaching on performance management and employee development.
**Compliance and Risk Management**
- Manage HR policies and procedures rollout for compliance and risk mitigation.
- Manage compliance audits, including ISO auditing process.
- Implement and update WHS policies in line with legislation.
**Other Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the CFO and payroll team for accurate and timely payroll transactions.
- Manage WHS, Workers' Compensation, and return-to-work process.
- Ensure legal and information security compliance in HR practices.
- Maintain AACA security accreditations for all branches.
- Proven track record in HR management within transport, logistics, supply chain or comparable industry
- Proven track record of overseeing HR projects for business improvement.
- Strong influencing, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- WHS and/or RTW certification.
- Knowledge of relevant awards, legislation, and ISO requirements.
