About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experiencedWelder (First Class)to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
You will work on a range of metal structures, components, and piping systems, ensuring precision and durability in every weld.
Key Responsibilities
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
Perform high-quality welding.
Inspect completed welds for accuracy, defects, and compliance with quality standards.
Carry out fabrication, fitting, and assembly of components as required.
Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.
Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Work collaboratively with the fabrication and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.
Assist with in office installations or repairs as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a First Class Welder within a manufacturing environment.
Robust knowledge of welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
Robust attention to detail and quality control.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Commitment to workplace health and safety.
Current driver's licence.
Desirable
Experience with pipe and fitting welding.
Knowledge of welding standards such as ISO*.
