Shedshaker Brewing is looking for a cleaning superstar.
Looking for a part-time role, in Castlemaine, and being part of a fun and busy team? This might be the role for you. Working Wednesday to Sundays, 8am to noon, you will be readying our Taproom for service, keeping on top of the cleanliness of a busy kitchen and helping our Brewery stay clean and shiny.
Who is Shedshaker Brewing?
Shedshaker Brewing has been crafting a range of traditional and new world beers onsite in Castlemaine since 2015. Our Taproom showcases our beer as well as serving a full Italian-inspired menu and hosts live music 3-4 nights per week. We also host many artistic events such as Books at the Brewery, PubSing and have regular art exhibitions. As an integral part of Castlemaine and surrounds, we provide bars for community events and sponsor many local organisations.
Our new venue and brewery recently had their first birthday and we are more popular than ever. The Taproom is busy serving our in-demand Italian food and our wide range of drinks while the Brewery is busy keeping up with beer demand. Which is why we need to boost our cleaning team.
What you will be doing:
* Deep cleaning of brewery (sweeping, hosing, cleaning surfaces) including cool room.
* Deep cleaning of kitchen (sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces) including cool room.
* Deep cleaning of Taproom (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning surfaces) including toilets, floors, windows and beer garden.
* Resetting the Taproom, mezzanine and beer garden so it is ready when opening to the public by restoring tables and chairs to correct positions.
* Addressing laundry (tea towels, polishing cloths, aprons, tablecloths) to ensure they are all washed, dried and folded and ready to use
* Following all OHS practices with respect to the workplace including safe lifting practices, bullying, racism and sexual harassment.
What you would bring to us:
* A positive, "can-do" attitude.
* Experience in cleaning.
* Super organisation skills with the ability to work autonomously.
* Strong character traits of integrity, reliability and trustworthiness.
* The ability to start ASAP.
