We have is a small technology business that is quickly growing and is now looking for someone to help with the workload. This role is designed for a technical professional who thrives at the intersection of Cloud Identity, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Operations.
You will be a key player in our IT team. You have to be self motivated to like and learn technology, comfortable in the tech world and have the passion to continue learning.
We are located in Capalaba but working from home will be required, either between agreed hours or for an agreed amount of hours per week. This is initially a casual opportunity with the potential of a part/full time position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities (daily tasks)
* Service Delivery: Monitor the helpdesk queue to check, respond to and close tickets ensuring high user satisfaction.
* Identity Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end setup for new staff members, ensuring hardware, accounts, and permissions are ready on day one.
* Systems Maintenance: Perform daily system health checks, hardware maintenance, and monitoring of automated backups.Perform routine server updates, firmware patches, and hardware health checks.
* Monitoring: Proactively monitor system health, performance, and connectivity using logs and automated alerts.
* Infrastructure Projects: Lead and execute IT projects both onsite and offsite, ranging from hardware refreshes to cloud migrations.
Technical Skills & Expertise
* Microsoft Entra ID: Advanced administration of identities, Conditional Access policies, and SSO.
* Microsoft Intune: Configuration and management of mobile devices (MDM) and applications (MAM).
* Exchange Online: managing user mailboxes, Microsoft 365 groups, and mail flow rules while ensuring the security and availability of the organization's email infrastructure through anti-spam protection, compliance auditing, and delegated access control.
* Microsoft Defender: Implementation and management of the Defender suite (Endpoint, Office 365, and Identity).
* Vulnerability Analysis: Perform Level 2/3 security analysis to identify, prioritize, and remediate system vulnerabilities.
* Credential Management: Administration of Vaultwarden (Bitwarden) for secure, organization-wide password management and secrets handling.
* Backup & Recovery: Monitoring and testing backup integrity to ensure business continuity.
Required Qualifications
* Experience: 2+ years in a Systems Administration or Level 2/3 Support role.
* Security Mindset: The ability to analyze security logs and translate them into actionable hardening steps.

* Willingness to travel to locations for project-based work as required. Driving costs will be reimbursed.
* Bonus if you are having Microsoft/Google/Unifi certifications.
Remuneration can be discussed and depends on the skillset and experience of the candidate.
