Experienced Housekeeper for beautiful property in Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to support the smooth running of a beautiful private property in Tuerong, Melbourne for a busy family. This role will suit someone with a background in luxury private households, 5-star hotels or superyachts, with an understanding of high‑end finishes and elevated service standards.
Beyond maintaining a beautifully presented home, you will enjoy being in the kitchen and assisting with quality meal preparation. The ideal candidate appreciates good food, follows recipes with ease, and is comfortable preparing healthy homestyle meals or supporting when the household entertains.
You will oversee daily housekeeping to a high standard, manage all laundry and wardrobe care, assist with organisation and errands, and provide support during family gatherings or events. The right person is proactive, calm under pressure and confident working independently within an established routine.
This part‑time position, worked across four days per week, offers a stunning work environment with principals who value discretion, initiative and consistently high‑quality service.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the home
* Daily housekeeping including tidying, dusting, vacuuming, mopping and full laundry care (washing, ironing, steaming and wardrobe organisation)
* Weekly deep cleaning of bathrooms and showers; change and launder all bed linens
* Prepare fresh, wholesome meals and support with entertaining as required (Mediterranean cuisine experience highly regarded)
* Monitor pantry and household supplies, manage stock rotation and compile grocery lists
* Run errands including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, post office and household items
* Assist with occasional family events, dinners and gatherings
* Provide care for the family's two friendly dogs when needed
* Maintain and update a household manual to support ongoing operations
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in a private household, luxury residence, 5‑star hotel or superyacht environment
* Confident preparing meals and following recipes
* Physically fit, energetic and able to work autonomously
* Discreet, well‑presented and professional with excellent communication skills
* Current CPR & First Aid certification
* Driver's licence, reliable vehicle and clean driving record
* WWCC, Police Check and full Australian working rights
* Strong, contactable references
Job Conditions
* Part‑time: 20–24 hours per week across 4 days
* Preferred start time: approx. 9:30 am (flexible)
* Excellent salary reflective of experience
* Contribution to transport costs when using your own vehicle for errands
