We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Terrigal Pacific, Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Foster a culture of quality and excellence in food preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards are consistently met.
* Lead by example, mentoring and supporting the kitchen team to achieve outstanding results.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu creation, driving innovation and guest satisfaction.
* Maintain strict adherence to HACCP and Work Health and Safety legislation, ensuring the kitchen operates safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
* A minimum Food Handlers Basics Certificate is essential, with ideal candidates holding a Food Safety Supervisor certification within the past 12 months.
* Demonstrated experience in creating exceptional food for lunch, dinner, and functions, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
* An understanding of food safety, kitchen cleanliness, correct ordering, and effective people management practices.
