Our Y Lifeguards enjoy keeping a close eye on all our precious community members and often get to know our members by name. They're reliable and vigilant and always ready to jump in (literally) if necessary. We have plenty of heroes we're super proud of but it's not all reacting to emergencies, our Lifeguards are great at identifying potential risks - and taking steps to reduce those risks.
**The role involves**:
- Engaging customer service
- Supervising the pool and identifying and reducing potential risks
- Maintaining all qualifications required for this position
- Administering first aid as required
**The workspace**
**WIRAC** is home to Warwick's largest range of aquatic facilities and a 24/7 fully air-conditioned gym with facial recognition. We have a hydrotherapy magnesium salt pool, heated lap pool, learn to swim pool and river rapids pool. All members receive personal attention from the moment they begin, with a full individualised exercise program to help get their feet on the ground. Our aquatics centre hosts three separate swimming pools that cater to a variety of needs. We also offer gymnastics classes in our full-size gymnasium. Classes are open to children from age two right through to adults - everyone is welcome Our 24/7 gym is ideal for all ages and fitness levels - with hard-core, heart-pumping classes right through to gentle classes for adults age 50+.
