AEMO issued directions to generators in South Australia during billing weeks 49– 52 2024.
In accordance with NER Clause 3.15.7B (c)(1), AEMO is required to appoint an Independent Expert to assess and determine the additional compensation claims for the Directed participant that exceeds the $20,000 threshold and exceeds the $100,000 aggregate threshold.
AEMO nominated an Independent Expert on 7 March 2025 with no objections received. AEMO then appointed Sami Aoude from Intelligent Energy Systems Pty Ltd as the Independent Expert to determine compensation.
