We are seeking a skilled and detail-driven Pastry Chef to join our established production kitchen in Marrickville.
This role is ideal for a pastry professional who takes pride in precision finishing, understands classic cake fundamentals, and enjoys contributing creatively to new product development within a high-quality environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
* Expert finishing of cakes using cream, including smooth finishes, piping, and refined decoration
* Baking sponges and core cake components to consistent, high standards
* Assisting in the creation and development of new cake concepts and designs
* Ensuring all products meet our quality, presentation, and brand standards
* Working efficiently within a structured production schedule
* Maintaining strict food safety, hygiene, and workplace standards
About You
You will bring:
* Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, with strong expertise in cream-finished cakes
* Solid technical knowledge of sponge baking and cake construction
* A creative mindset with the ability to contribute new ideas and concepts
* High attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
* A professional, positive, and can-do attitude
* Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced production environment
* Australian working rights (preferred)
