We are now seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to join our Executive Committee and lead our enterprise-wide risk and compliance functions.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO plays a critical leadership role in shaping and maintaining KeyInvest’s risk management culture. You will oversee the development and continuous improvement of our Risk and Compliance Frameworks, while ensuring alignment with legal, regulatory, and prudential obligations—particularly under the Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and APRA’s Prudential Standards. As a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board, and Executive Committee, you will drive integrated risk governance, provide insight on emerging risks, and guide ICAAP and Recovery and Exit Planning processes to ensure organisational resilience.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership for enterprise-wide risk and compliance functions.
* Maintain and enhance the Risk Management Framework and Compliance Framework.
* Serve as the key liaison with APRA, ASIC, and other regulatory bodies.
* Oversee KeyInvest’s Risk Registers, RCSAs, and risk reporting processes.
* Lead compliance monitoring programs and breach reporting activities.
* Govern internal policy development, updates, and the Policy Register.
* Guide ICAAP and Recovery and Exit Planning initiatives.
* Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Risk and Compliance team.

About You

You are a seasoned leader with deep expertise in risk and compliance within regulated financial services. You combine strong regulatory knowledge (AFSL, APRA, ASIC obligations) with excellent communication and influencing skills, enabling you to engage at all levels—from frontline teams to regulators and the Board.

Your Background:

* Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Compliance, Governance, or related field.
* Demonstrated success in leading risk functions in financial services.
* Proven experience managing regulatory relationships and obligations.
* Deep knowledge of AFSL and Prudential Standards.
* Experience in Treasury, Liquidity, or Asset and Liability Management.
* Familiarity with CPS 234, ICAAP, and Recovery and Exit Planning.

Personal Attributes:

* Strategic and analytical mindset with strong judgement.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
* Resilient, proactive, and collaborative leader.

Why Join Us?

At KeyInvest, we believe that strong governance and a proactive risk culture are key to our long-term success. Join a purpose-driven organisation, where your leadership will make a meaningful impact across the business and on the lives of our members.
