Project Overview
The Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage, working alongside ERA and Rio Tinto to restore land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. Located 8 km east of Jabiru and 260 km south‐east of Darwin, the project will lead in mining closures.
Job Summary
Work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations, apply unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements to keep projects on track.
Major Responsibilities
* Prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations.
* Establish and maintain the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty.
* Develop the work breakdown structure, determine activity durations, and establish workflow logic.
* Monitor schedules, identify critical activities, and update functions for specific disciplines.
* Create critical path schedule reports and performance metrics.
* Determine critical‐path activities for assigned work supporting interdisciplinary requirements.
* Identify and report activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule.
* Monitor and validate subcontractor schedules.
* Evaluate subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential improvements.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 8–10 years of relevant experience, or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and industry software such as Primavera P6.
* Strong oral and written communication; ability to present Project Controls information to management and clients.
* Analytical problem‐solving skills.
* Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start‐up work processes.
* Up‐to‐date knowledge of industry and technical developments.
