Job Description
P&C System Support and Development
* Support the development, maintenance, and optimisation of Oracle HCM, focusing on enhanced functionality and operational efficiencies.
* Collaborate with P&C, IT, and other departments to gather business requirements and ensure system enhancements align with organisational objectives.
* Lead testing of system upgrades and new features, ensuring thorough validation prior to implementation.
Collaboration and Teamwork
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across P&C and Digital Campus Services to ensure seamless integration and effective use of Oracle HCM and other P&C systems.
* Provide technical support to P&C staff, resolving system issues promptly and minimising operational disruptions.
* Liaise with external software vendors to identify enhancement opportunities and resolve technical issues.
Process Improvement and Automation
* Contribute to the identification and implementation of people, process, and technology improvements that enhance operational efficiency and drive automation.
* Document system processes and changes clearly, ensuring updates are communicated effectively to stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate system documentation and contribute to system-related projects.
* Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to ensure efficient and compliant use of P&C systems.
Complex Reporting and Data Integrity
* Generate and manage complex reports and dashboards using Oracle HCM and/or AscenderPay (APay).
* Ensure high levels of data accuracy and maintain data integrity across all system updates and reporting activities.
System Maintenance and Upgrades
* Support ongoing maintenance and regular upgrades of Oracle HCM and AscenderPay, ensuring systems operate efficiently and are kept current.
* Proactively troubleshoot performance issues and coordinate with internal teams to prevent or resolve system disruptions.
The Successful Applicant
Essential
* Degree-level knowledge or training with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent skills and experience.
* Proven experience with Oracle HCM, including modules such as Core HR, Recruitment, Talent Management, Time & Labour, Learning, Performance & Goals.
* Experience supporting, maintaining, and upgrading P&C systems with a focus on user experience, automation, and process improvement.
* Demonstrated capability to generate and manage complex reports and work with large datasets.
* Strong problem‐solving skills, with the ability to diagnose root causes and deliver effective solutions.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks independently while contributing within a team environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in data analysis and reporting.
* Understanding of and compliance with organisational policies, including OH&S and anti‐discrimination requirements.
Desirable
* Experience with APay and PageUp Learning & Performance systems.
* Knowledge of Oracle SQL for data analysis.
* Experience in the higher education or TAFE sectors.
