About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Junior School, you will work as part of a committed team to design and deliver engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning programs. You will foster positive relationships with students, colleagues and families, and contribute to the wellbeing and growth of every child in your care.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver and assess high-quality teaching and learning programs
* Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
* Use differentiated strategies to meet diverse learning needs
* Monitor, assess and report on student progress
* Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student learning and wellbeing
* Actively contribute to school events, meetings and professional learning
* Uphold the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and all school policies
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Primary Teaching
* Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
* Current Victorian Working with Children Check (Employee)
* First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
* A strong commitment to child safety and inclusive education
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic school environment
* Experience with, or willingness to engage in, the IB Primary Years Programme
