Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Family Liaison Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Defence Members and Family Support Rockingham team, helping Defence families connect and engage with their wider community and families.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with Defence families, key stakeholders and the wider community to promote networking and connection.
* Organise and facilitate social functions to promote Defence family events and activities.
* Use innovation and creative ways to promote and deliver DMFS programs and events.
* Provide information and advice about local community resources and services.
* Participate in Command and Unit facilitated events and functions for families.
* Build knowledge of community services and engage with service providers to inform them of the needs of defence families.
About the Team
Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) provides services and programs to Command across all three services - Army, Navy and Air Force. We coordinate events face-to-face and virtually, covering Karratha and Learmonth. Our team is dynamic and multidisciplinary, working together to support Defence families.
The Role
We are looking for a person who can use their initiative to provide innovative ways to engage with Defence families and help connect them with the local community. Strong stakeholder engagement is required.
