Flynns Beach Medical Centre and The Health Centre PMQ are well-established, busy general practices servicing the Port Macquarie community. As part of our continued growth as a multi-site medical group, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Practice Manager or Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of both practices.
This is a hands-on, on-site leadership role, ideal for an experienced Assistant Practice Manager or an established Practice Manager who wants to move into a larger, structured organisation.
You will work closely with an external Business Manager, who provides strategic, financial, HR, compliance and systems support, allowing you to focus on running the practices smoothly each day.
About the role
This full-time role is responsible for:
* Managing daily operations across two medical practices
* Providing hands on leadership of the administration team
* Supporting nursing and admin teams, ensuring training of staff and performance management
* Ensuring smooth patient flow, staff coverage and operational efficiency
* Acting as the primary on-site escalation point for staff and doctors
* Implementing systems, processes and improvements developed with the Business Manager
About you
You will bring:
* Previous experience as an Assistant Practice Manager or Practice Manager
* Strong knowledge of general practice operations and workflows
* Confident leadership and people management skills
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving ability
* Experience working with clinical and non-clinical teams
* A calm, professional approach in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Experience across multi-site practices or growing organisations will be highly regarded.
