The Role
Fixed term duration full-time position (6 months parental leave cover).
Employment services is a people business, and we focus on people first. Create relationships with your caseload and assist them to address non-vocational challenges with a view to improving their employment capability. Be curious rather than judgmental to assess clients for non-vocational barriers to employment, develop a support plan and coordinate appropriate referrals.
This position is based in Griffith or Wagga Wagga, the role requires some travel and overnight stay, telehealth servicing can be done between periods of travel. A company car will be provided to you for travel.
Duties
- Assess clients for non-vocational barriers to employment
- Deliver counselling support where appropriate or necessary
- Develop tailored support plans in collaboration with clients.
- Meet with clients regularly to review progress and determine further action required
- Work in partnership with Employment Services staff to enable employment outcomes
- Network and develop relationships with key stakeholders
What You’ll Need
A relevant university qualification (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Rehabilitation Counselling) is required along with membership with the relevant professional association (AASW, APHRA, PACFA, RCAA).
