Your Team
Hollard's Group Compliance Function (Group Compliance) forms part of the designated Line 2 Risk for the Hollard Insurance Companies and plays a key role in supporting the effective management of compliance risk, within Hollard's broader Risk Management Framework.
Your Role
This role will be reporting to the Lead Compliance Principal and is part of the Compliance Enablement Team (CET).
As a part of the Group Compliance team, you will have the chance to work alongside highly experienced risk and compliance specialists in an interesting and fulfilling role, brimming with opportunities. Group Compliance currently has 3 teams:
The Compliance Enablement Team (CET) supports the wider compliance function by maintaining core frameworks and policies, managing the obligations library, and overseeing compliance training and Responsible Manager activities. It also conducts preliminary due diligence reviews and research. The team designs and maintains the tools and infrastructure that keep compliance operations running effectively.
The Compliance Incident Management Team (CIM) is responsible for providing specialist compliance incident management and assessing for reportability of matters to our Regulators.
The Compliance Oversight Team (COT) is responsible for specialist compliance oversight and challenge in the management of compliance risks and maturity. The team is the first point of contact for Hollard's business and shared functions.
Your Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to a Lead Compliance Principal/ Senior Compliance Principal within Group Compliance, you may work in one, or a combination of the functions listed above
This role also provides opportunities to support the Group Head of Compliance and broader Group Compliance team to achieve the team's objectives, including:
* Maintaining compliance frameworks/policies and performing monitoring of adherence.
* Design and maintain compliance tools/infrastructure e.g. internal governance documents.
Knowledge and Experience
* Experience in a Line 2 Compliance role or similar function.
* Experience in legal, insurance and/or financial services compliance experience (General insurance strongly preferred).
* Good compliance processing end-to-end skills obtained within the General Insurance industry is strongly preferred.
* Strong knowledge of the regulatory compliance landscape (APRA prudential standards, Corporations Act & Regulations, ASIC Act and Regulatory Guides, Insurance Contracts Act, and the GI Code of Practice).
* Must have the ability to build good relationships with stakeholders, both within and outside the Compliance function
* Strong ability to identify improvement opportunities
