Job Description
The Storeperson plays a vital role in providing general warehouse and logistics services, ensuring timely delivery of goods and maintaining a safe working environment.
This position involves a high level of physical activity, manual handling of tools, materials, and equipment, as well as operating powered industrial vehicles in a safe manner.
* Provide excellent customer service to the Production Department by ensuring that necessary tools, materials, and equipment are readily available for consumption into projects.
* Offer warehouse and logistics services throughout Austal facilities, adhering to Supply Chain procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess relevant warehousing and logistics experience, with a strong understanding of computerized ERP environments.
A Certificate III in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain is highly desirable, along with participation in High Performing Team training and proficiency in Pronto or IFS systems.
Candidates should also demonstrate basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills, as well as the ability to handle dangerous goods safely.
* 2+ years of relevant warehousing and logistics experience.
* Experience in a computerized ERP environment.
* Dangerous Goods (DG) handling experience within a Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Defence organization.
* Certificate III in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
* Participation in High Performing Team training.
* Pronto or IFS experience.
* Basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
