We now have an exciting opportunity for a Spa Assistant Manager to support our Spa qualia team. qualia, Hamilton Island, is an oasis of Australian style, combining award-winning luxury with intuitive friendly service.

The Role
As the Spa Assistant Manager, you will support the Spa Manager in guiding the team in delivering all treatments and services listed on the Spa Menu to the highest standards. Our goal is to consistently exceed our guests' expectations and provide a five-star experience with each visit.
Your Role will:
1. Assist in the coordination of daily spa operations, encompassing scheduling, inventory management, budget oversight, and supervision.
2. Handle concerns and inquiries promptly, proficiently, and with utmost professionalism.
3. Support with the execution of strategies aimed at enhancing spa revenue and profitability.
4. Facilitate the recruitment, onboarding, and motivation of team members, fostering a cohesive and collaborative organisational environment.

To be successful in the role you will need:
Leadership Skills: Capability to support the spa manager in leading and motivating the team effectively, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment and leading by example.
Luxury Experience: Solid understanding of luxury spa treatments, products, and industry trends, enabling them to provide informed guidance to both staff and guests.
Problem Solving: Able to demonstrate the ability to identify issues or challenges and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Communication Skills: You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and effective communication with both team members and guests.

5. Experience in a spa supervisor or management role (Essential)
6. Current First Aid and CPR Certification (Essential)
7. Diploma of Remedial Massage or Diploma of Beauty therapy (Essential)
8. Nationally recognised responsible service of alcohol qualification (Essential)
9. Driver’s licence (Essential)
