Position Overview
We are seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager with the capabilities to lead and manage the delivery of projects within the Observing Systems & Operations (OSO) program.
The ideal candidate is a person who thrives in a team-based workplace, is dedicated to achieving outcomes using effective and efficient methods, is able to communicate clearly with a range of people, has advanced project management skills and understands how to tailor processes based on each project's characteristics to ensure the right level of control.
The ideal candidate will work alongside other Project and technical professionals to deliver to the business outcomes. They will also demonstrate a growth mindset and be flexible and able to support and lead where required.
The position is located within the OSO program, which is responsible for the sustainment and life-cycle management of the Bureau's observing network; delivering fit-for-purpose in situ and remotely sensed observations and observation support services and provides in-field volunteer and partnership management across Australia and territories, including Antarctica.
