Description Are you an experienced Company Secretary looking for a flexible, part-time role where your expertise is truly valued? We’re seeking a seasoned governance professional to step into a key support position as Assistant to the Group Company Secretary. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Group Company Secretary to maintain high standards of corporate governance and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. Your attention to detail, sound judgement, and proactive approach will be essential in supporting board and committee operations—particularly during peak times such as board meetings and year-end. What will your typical week look like? Provide high-level support in preparing and distributing board and committee agendas, papers, minutes, and meeting logistics. Maintain accurate records of board resolutions, action items, and statutory registers. Assist with ASIC filings and ensure ongoing compliance with governance and regulatory obligations. Collaborate with the Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance to draft and maintain governance policies and procedures. Liaise with directors, senior management, and regulatory bodies on governance and compliance matters. Support subsidiary governance, shareholder communications, and general meeting preparations. Maintain governance databases and administer the staff shareholding plan (SIP). Provide general administrative and corporate governance support to the Company Secretary. Tertiary qualification in law, business, governance, or a related field with proven experience in corporate governance, legal, or compliance roles. Strong knowledge of ASIC requirements, corporate governance practices, and regulatory obligations. Ideally, experience with listed companies (ASX 300) and understanding of share transactions, transfers, and share purchase plans. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive information. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and governance systems, with experience managing corporate records and electronic lodgements.
