QBuild is a commercialised business unit of the Queensland Government, with over 160 years of building and maintaining government assets such as schools, social housing, police stations, and health facilities across the state.
About The Role
You will support QBuild's goal to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by educating stakeholders to minimise risks and ensure compliance.
Duties and Skills
* Assist the Principal Property Manager in planning and managing the property team’s work commitments to ensure resource efficiency, monitor program and project progress, provide property advice, and deliver projects within budget and partner requirements.
* Develop project proposals and manage specialist property projects, including transactional matters and complex tenure and native title issues.
* Source and evaluate acquisitions aligned with customer needs, and develop strategies to expand the supply chain.
* Negotiate property transactions, ensuring compliance with government policies and procurement requirements, including resolving complex tenure issues.
* Manage procurement of consultancy services for property acquisitions, disposals, and investigations, sourcing specialists like valuers, town planners, engineers, and surveyors.
* Coordinate the development and maintenance of Quality Assurance procedures to promote consistency and high performance, embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
* Develop and maintain data and reports to monitor performance, project status, program progress, and KPIs.
* Build strategic relationships with key customers to understand their needs and ensure QBuild provides responsive, value-for-money services.
* Prepare high-level correspondence such as briefing notes, submissions, fee proposals, and reports, and review legislation relevant to property management.
Additional Requirements
This role involves travel, including occasional overnight stays and visits to regional areas.
