Our client is a leading mining contractor operating at the world-class Cadia Mine, and due to continued growth, we are seeking 4 experienced Diesel Fitters to join their high-performing maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Leading Hand and Workshop Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a large and diverse fleet of heavy mining equipment. The majority of work is workshop-based, with minimal field service requirements.
You will be working across a fleet of 140+ heavy vehicles including:
* CAT D6–D11 Dozers
* Haul Trucks (CAT 777, 793 & Bell Moxies)
* Graders (16M–24M)
* Excavators (Hitachi 30T–90T, 2600 & 3600)
* Supporting LV fleet (Toyota Hilux)
Roster & Travel
* 8/6 roster (Day Shift) – 6:00am to 6:00pm
* Rotating roster: Dayshift 8/6, Nightshift 7/7
* FIFO Brisbane to Orange
* Travel: Fly in Wednesday morning (approx. 10am onsite start); Fly out following Wednesday (approx. 12pm departure)
Accommodation & Meals
* Accommodation in Orange
* Private hotel suites with ensuite
* Daily transport to/from site via bus
* 3 meals per day provided
Requirements
* Trade qualified Diesel Fitter/Plant Mechanic or similar
* Proven experience working on mobile plant and mining equipment
* Strong diagnostic and maintenance skills in a mining or heavy industry environment
* Ability to work within a team-focused workshop environment
* Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
