What you will do
Our Heavy Vehicle Technician's have the opportunity to work on Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Mack and UD Trucks, some of Australia's most innovative transport brands. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing and maintenance on trucks and buses, in line with Volvo Group's standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Steering and suspension repairs
2. Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
3. Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
4. Component overhauls
5. Driveline repairs
6. Preventative maintenance services and repairs
7. Offsite and breakdown repairs
Your future team
This role will be based at our Volvo Commercial Vehicles dealership in Blacktown, which forms part of the larger Volvo Group Australia umbrella. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the team of 60 workshop staff are made up of Mechanics, Auto-Electricians, Apprentices, Service Advisors and Costing Clerks. Who are you?
Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring:
1. A Heavy Vehicle mechanical qualification (unfortunately we cannot accept Fitter qualifications)
2. Experience working with Volvo, Mack, UD or other European truck or bus brands
3. Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
4. A pro-active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
5. A positive safety attitude with a team-focused mindset
6. Appropriate Australian working rights for a permanent full-time role
