Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Professional
This role requires an experienced professional to join a team as a Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating safety programs across various projects in the mining, civil and road construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with legislated safety standards and company policies.
* Promote a Zero Harm environment through active engagement and leadership.
* Coordinate safety initiatives to meet contractual obligations.
* Maintain relevant safety records, including project training matrices.
* Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company and client systems.
* Facilitate training and inductions, both paper-based and online.
* Coordinate toolbox and pre-start meetings.
* Investigate and report accidents and incidents.
* Review and develop risk assessments and site-specific safe operating procedures.
* Provide regular WHS statistical reports to management teams.
* Offer coaching, mentoring and technical guidance.
* Ensure records are maintained and compliant with WHS legislation.
Requirements:
* Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Cert IV).
* Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE116 preferred).
* Strong understanding of mine site and legislative WHS requirements.
* Construction and civil industry experience in a similar position.
* Experience developing safety programs.
* Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
