About the Role
The Digital Identity Engineer plays a critical hands-on role within our Digital Identity Practice in the Cyber Technology Integration Services (CTIS) Service Line. This position is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting digital identity solutions for our clients across workforce, customer, and privileged access domains.
Working as part of multi-disciplinary delivery teams, the Digital Identity Engineer brings strong technical skills across one or more IAM technologies such as Ping Identity, SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Delinea, or Microsoft. You will be responsible for building and integrating identity capabilities including authentication, lifecycle management, governance workflows, role models, connectors, and access policies, with a focus on quality and secure-by-design practices.
In addition to hands-on delivery, this role offers opportunities to contribute to internal accelerators, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement of our delivery frameworks. You will also have the chance to grow your expertise across multiple technologies and identity domains in a collaborative and supportive environment.
As a Digital Identity Engineer, you are accountable for:
- Implement, configure, and troubleshoot digital identity solutions across client environments
- Deliver key capabilities such as authentication, authorisation, SSO, JML processes, identity governance workflows, and role-based access control
- Integrate identity platforms with target systems using out-of-the-box connectors, APIs, and custom development as needed
- Work collaboratively with architects, project managers, and other engineers to meet client delivery timelines and quality expectations
- Support testing, defect resolution, documentation, and handover activities across the delivery lifecycle
- Contribute to internal engineering assets, documentation, and reusable solution patterns
- Participate in design reviews and provide input to ensure alignment with architecture and security requirements
- Help troubleshoot complex issues in test and production environments, supporting root cause analysis and remediation
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability uplift
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing across the practice and support continuous delivery improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
- 4–8 years’ experience in identity engineering, software development, or system integration roles
- Hands-on experience delivering IAM capabilities with one or more of the following platforms: SailPoint IdentityNow or IIQ, Okta, Ping Identity suite, CyberArk, Delinea, Microsoft Entra (Azure AD, PIM)
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts such as authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC), RBAC/ABAC, identity lifecycle management, governance workflows, privileged access controls, and MFA
- Experience working with REST APIs, scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python), and integration frameworks
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools (e.g. Git)
- Experience in configuring and deploying identity connectors to enterprise and cloud systems
- Knowledge of infrastructure and security principles across hybrid environments (on-premises and cloud)
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform root cause analysis across complex systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and collaborate with stakeholders
- Relevant certifications in IAM platforms, cloud technologies, or cybersecurity (desirable)
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
