About theRole
As the RecreationalActivities Officer, you will drive the energy, engagement, and participation ofresidents into a range of social, recreational, and cultural activities. Youwill also lead mental health and wellbeing programs which empower our resident'schoices and independence.
Duties
7. Plan, organise, andlead activities for our residents that will meet social and recreational needswhile also promoting independence and increasing quality of life.
8. Assess and documentthe effectiveness of the programs, by tracking residents' progress and changingthe programs as needed
Skills andExperience
9. Minimum of a CertIII in Leisure and Lifestyle
10. Senior First AidCertificate is essential
11. Previous experiencewithin an aged or community care setting
12. Highly developedorganisation and time management skills
13. The ability tosolve problems independently
14. Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
15. An understanding ofResident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
