We at Frankston Barber are looking for a friendly and skilled barber to join our team must be able to do all fades, cutthroat shave and beard grooming. Salary expectations should be $75,000 - $82,000 according to skill level and availability.
Job duties-
Cutting, trimming, and shaping hair or hairpieces, based on customers instructions, hair
type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers, razors and other cutting
equipment and technique.
Shampooing, conditioning, straightening and waving the hair and colouring using
different type of professional color brands.
Analyse client's hair and other physical features to determine and recommend hair
treatments or suggest appropriate hair styles.
Listen to clients requests and guide them in recommending hairstyles.
Recruiting, selecting and supervising new staff members as well as the advancement of
existing junior hairdressers and barbers.
Training and providing knowledge to new and existing junior members of staff covering
all aspects of hairdressing and barbering.
Update and maintain customer information records containing previous services and
other specifications.
Working with management in achieving the organisations desired standards as well as
ensuring that all staff adhere to these standards in order to collectively reach desired
goals.
Effectively operate cash registers to receive payments from clients.
Educating clients on appropriate products which should result in higher levels of sales
and client satisfaction.
Meet and exceed sales targets through up selling whilst also demonstrating effective
sales techniques to assist juniors in their ability to sell appropriate products to clients.
Continuous skill development according to the ever-changing trends and styles.
Handle the salons clients with great care and developing good relationships.
Greeting and welcoming customers into the waiting area, ensuring that the client is
delivered the best possible customer service.
Overseeing and ensuring that juniors, assistants and barbers keep the salon and
equipment safe, clean and appropriately sanitized.
Efficiently performing specialized barber techniques such as cutthroat face shaves and
head shaves.
Training junior stylists and barbers in proficiently performing specialized barber
techniques such as cutthroat face and head shaves.
Flying and promotional work, where necessary to increase clientele and promoting re
booking.
