Permanent role for an experienced heavy vehicle mechanic working with a well-established company.
We specialize in selling high-quality used truck parts, including engines, gearboxes, tyres and trailers. Our extensive experience of over 50 years offers a wide range of parts for various makes and models such as Kenworth, Mack, Isuzu, and Western Star. Additionally, we provide truck wrecking services and offer fast Australia-wide delivery with industry-leading warranties on all parts.
Your Key Responsibilities
To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience in a high-paced workshop environment working with trucks and heavy vehicles.
You will work Monday to Friday, commencing at 07:30 am, with 9-10 hour days. Your duties include servicing, maintenance and repairs of engines, transmissions (manual/powershift), hydraulic systems and other mechanical and electrical matters.
Your Role Includes:
* Working unsupervised, scheduling and maintaining vehicles
* Liaising with the Purchasing Department for parts and paperwork
* Performing repairs and breakdown diagnostics
* Ordering and collecting parts as needed
* Ensuring the workshop meets WHS standards
* A valid roadworthy license would be advantageous
Your Requirements
* Hold an HR/HC/MC License (advantageous)
* Possess a valid roadworthy license (advantageous)
* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of trucks and heavy vehicles
