About Us: The Parklife Metro consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney’s most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport line. Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild —is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. This includes six new stations, a stabling and maintenance facility, rail systems, and a fleet of driverless trains. The Opportunity: Employed under Webuild, we are seeking a motivated MEP Mechanical Project Engineer to join our delivery team at the Badgerys Creek location. In this role you will oversee the mechanical engineering aspects of the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems of SSTOM project. This role requires managing the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure they meet safety, quality, budget, and schedule requirements. This position is ideal for an engineer with mechanical experience who is looking to grow their skills while contributing to one of Australia’s most significant transport infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities: Review and ensure mechanical system designs align with project specifications, standards and codes. Collaborate with design teams, consultants, and contractors to optimize the mechanical solutions. Coordinate MEP services with civil and structural design teams to avoid conflicts during construction. Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and ventilation in accordance with approved designs and project timelines. Perform regular site inspections and quality control checks on mechanical works. Ensure safety standards and regulations are adhered to during the execution of works. Prepare and review mechanical engineering documents including technical reports, method statements, and risk assessments. Ensure all work complies with local regulatory and safety standards, including environmental and energy efficiency guidelines About You: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline. 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within the rail, infrastructure, or large-scale construction projects. Solid understanding of MEP systems, including HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and ventilation. Proven experience in managing the mechanical scope of large, multidisciplinary projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar design and drafting software. Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. What We Offer: A career-defining opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, city-shaping infrastructure project. Exposure to complex MEP systems within a state-of-the-art rail facility. Professional growth and development within a supportive, high-performing joint venture. Competitive salary packages. Apply Now: Be part of a team delivering real change to Western Sydney’s transport landscape. If you are ready to apply your MEP expertise and grow your career on a world-class infrastructure project, we’d love to hear from you.
