Australian Venue Co is on the lookout for a versatile Tournant Chef to join our Gold Coast team. Our venues are some of the Coast's favourites – from the award-winning Burleigh Town Hotel, to the lively Hope Island Tavern, and the iconic Wallaby Hotel. Each has its own unique personality, but they're united by a passion for great food, vibrant service, and memorable experiences.
The Role
As a Tournant Chef, you'll be the backbone of our kitchens – adaptable, hands-on, and ready to step into any section with confidence. You'll thrive in change, take command when needed, and ensure high standards of food quality and consistency across our venues.
What You'll Do
Run any section of the kitchen with skill and confidence
Adapt quickly to changing needs and support the wider brigade
Maintain food quality, presentation, and consistency
Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
About You
Proven chef experience, ideally across multiple sections in high-volume kitchens
Strong leadership skills with the ability to take command when required
Flexible, adaptable, and calm under pressure
Positive attitude with a passion for teamwork and growth
Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a car
