About Delivering for Customers (SAF JV)
Delivering for Customers (SAF JV) is a consortium comprising John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. Over the next 6 years we are partnering with Sydney Water to desilt and rehabilitate Sydney's Critical Sewer assets in the South – a once in a generation program of work that will optimise the performance of these critical assets and preserve them for another 50 years of operation. This unique program will create a range of exciting roles and opportunities for career development and progression. Primary Purpose
The purpose of the Site Engineer role is to ensure the successful delivery of construction projects by managing schedules, resources, and costs, while maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Accountabilities
* Supporting Project Managers and Project Engineers to ensure allocated projects are delivered to scope within time, cost, quality and regulatory standards.
* Setting daily, weekly and long-term project programs to achieve required project outputs with plant, labour, materials and resources.
* Monitoring and reviewing costs, invoices and claims for allocated projects.
* Contributing to the constructability of a project with respect to design development.
* Overseeing the tender process, including evaluation and award of subcontract procurement packages, applying pre-contract knowledge of design, planning, and legislative requirements.
* Monitoring the quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material against drawings and specifications, arranging corrections or modifications where necessary as per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
* Analysing and utilising document and record management systems to track progress and project performance, and complete compliance reporting.
* Ensuring the successful delivery of work packages, by managing the performance of Subcontractors and the 'Self-Perform' workforce.
* Liaising and coordinating with all external parties and relevant statutory authorities, managing their attendance on site as necessary.
* Contributing to a good safety, quality, environment and community culture within SAF.
Essential
* Bachelor's degree in engineering
* 2-5 years' engineering experience
* Water industry experience is desired
* White Card
* Current driver's license
