Rentco is a leading privately owned Heavy Transport Equipment Rental Company with branches across Australia. We’re expanding our Sydney branch and looking for an Admin / Fleet Assistant to join our growing rental operations team.
About the Role
This is a energetic role involving both office administration and yard duties. You'll support our fast-paced rental department, handling short- and long-term truck and trailer rentals.
Monday to Friday, minimum 38 hours per week
Reports to Operations Supervisor/Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls, make bookings, and direct enquiries to the appropriate department
- Assist walk-in customers with hire bookings, equipment pickups, and drop-offs
- Create, update, and manage rental contracts accurately and efficiently
- Complete pre-hire and de-hire inspections and associated paperwork in the yard
- Use internal systems and processes to manage contracts and coordinate with customers and team members
- Must be able to climb in and out of trucks easily
- Process bookings, payments & security bonds
- Record and follow up on missed rental opportunities
- Communicate equipment damage to the workshop
- Moving HV's
- In yard documentation of Hire equipment (outside office in the yard)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in heavy transport or rentals (preferred but not essential, as training will be provided)
- Computer literate (training provided)
- Confident, team-oriented, and proactive attitude
- Ability to work independently & in a team
- Physically fit for yard duties
- HC Licence is a plus but not required
