Our Service
The Medicare Mental Health Centre service model is tailored to the needs of the local community, offering a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support to create a safe, welcoming environment for people experiencing psychological distress. It provides low-risk individuals with alternatives to emergency department visits and access to trained mental health professionals within their community, outside traditional clinical settings.

Role Overview
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes for adults aged 18 and over experiencing mental health concerns. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments (including suicide risk, violence, and vulnerability), providing risk management collaboratively with clients and support systems, and facilitating referrals and treatment planning. Provide medium-term (3-6 months) therapeutic support for individuals with mental health concerns.
Minimum Requirements
* Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, or provisional registration as a Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist, or AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker
* Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and clinical practice in mental health and substance use
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to engage and advocate for clients, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders
* Experience with electronic client management systems and Microsoft Office
* Must be eligible to apply for or currently hold a WWCC
* Willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
