You'll assist the Transactional Finance Team Leader across all operational areas—overseeing credit facilities, supporting audits, improving processes, and acting as a key partner to both internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Transactional Finance Team Lead, you will work closely with the ticketing support team, suppliers, agents, offshore teams and wider finance. Your role is central to ensuring smooth financial operations and continual improvement across processes and controls.
* Assist with system upgrades, testing, and AP/AR process changes
* Support small projects to improve invoicing, payments, and reconciliations
* Perform basic analysis of AP and AR data, including debtor and creditor trends
* Suggest improvements to AP/AR processes and workflows
* Assist with audit requirements by preparing AP/AR reports and reconciliations
* Support month‐end close with AP/AR reconciliations and reporting
* Help train and onboard new team members in AP/AR functions
* Support BSP reconciliations
* Prepare weekly debtor and creditor reports
* Assist with bank reconciliations for payments and receipts
* Support EOFY AP/AR reconciliations and reporting tasks
What you'll need to succeed
* Previous experience in accounting or finance (travel industry experience highly desirable)
* Team management experience is essential
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills
* High level of attention to detail
* Excellent time‐management and organisational skills
* Clear and confident written and verbal communication
* Comfortable working in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment
* Interest or knowledge of the travel industry (desirable)
* Experience with ERP systems
