Offer description

Teach students who shape the future.

At Contour Education, we don't just tutor, we transform the way students learn.

We're looking for driven and committed QCE Physics Assistant Tutor & Resource Developer to join our passionate team as we expand our tutoring offer into Queensland for the very first time, opening our first campus in Upper Mount Gravatt!

As an Assistant Tutor & Resource Developer, you'll support our lead tutors in dynamic group classes (8–20 students), helping students deepen their understanding, build confidence, and achieve outstanding results, while also contributing to the creation and improvement of high quality learning resources. This is your chance to inspire students, grow as a communicator and leader, and pass on your passion to the next generation of high achievers.

This role also offers a hybrid work-from-home component for consultations and text‐based support.

What You Will Do
* Create Design exceptional, curriculum aligned resources, including worksheets, lesson materials, SACs, and exam style questions that build student understanding and exam readiness.
* Support You'll act as a secondary tutor during classes (most classes have two tutors), helping address student questions and clarifying concepts while the primary tutor teaches.
* Consult Conduct 1‐on‐1 video consultations outside of class hours, which students can book at no extra cost.
* Assist Provide ongoing text‐based support to answer student questions promptly after class.
* Review Proofread and review learning materials (workbooks, notes, SACs/Exams) to ensure quality and accuracy.
* Mentor Be a mentor for students, telling anecdotal stories of success & failure.
* Connect Build genuine connections with students. You're relatable, making it easy to relate and inspire.
What You Will Bring
* QCE completion with 99+ ATAR and 45+ raw study scores in QCE Physics
* First‐year university‐level knowledge or above in Physics.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts.
* Energy, empathy, independence, and a proactive mindset.
* Prior tutoring or teaching experience (preferred, but not essential).
* A full academic year commitment (no long‐term travel or overseas exchange trips).
* Ability to commit to weekly classes (consistent attendance required).
* Willingness to travel to our campuses (Upper Mount Gravatt).
* Alignment with Contour's mission (non‐compete agreement required).
* A genuine passion for helping and motivating students to achieve their potential.
