THE ROLEAs a Project Officer within the Maintenance Assurance and Property Condition team specialising in the Property Condition side of the team's work, you are responsible for carrying out on-site inspections of Victoria's social housing portfolio, completing assessments that record information on the attributes and condition of the different elements that make up our buildings to inform future planning decisions.
These inspections provide critical information to other stakeholders both internal to the department and more broadly, who make decisions on property retention, upgrade programs and the like based on the condition information we provide them.
A high standard of building/trade knowledge, computer literacy and interpersonal skills are required to adequately complete the role.
The role may also assist with our Maintenance Assurance program, in which we audit the completed maintenance work carried out by contractors engaged by the department, checking it for its quality, timeliness and compliance with the schedule of rates and contract specifications.ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE1 Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and the department's records, information security and privacy policies and requirements.

Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including:(a) Assisting in research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
