Lead Marketing and Communications

We're seeking a seasoned marketing professional to spearhead our marketing efforts, driving patronage, sponsorship value, membership growth, and event attendance.

* Develop strategic marketing plans to elevate our brand presence and drive commercial growth across our entertainment, hospitality, and racing environment.
* Oversee agency partnerships, media relationships, tourism engagements, and stakeholder networks to deliver high-impact campaigns.
* Analyse campaign performance, audience behaviour, and market trends to optimise outcomes and inform future strategies.
* Manage the development of marketing collateral, including advertising strategy, PR, and messaging across digital, social, and traditional media.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive patronage, sponsorship value, membership growth, and event attendance.
2. Lead brand strategy, corporate image, communications, and public profile.
3. Manage the organisation's marketing plan, timelines, and overall marketing budget.
4. Oversee agency partnerships, media relationships, tourism engagements, and stakeholder networks.
5. Analyse campaign performance, audience behaviour, and market trends to optimise outcomes.
6. Respond to sponsorship enquiries, prepare proposals, and execute sponsorship contracts.
7. Lead advertising strategy, PR, and messaging across digital, social, and traditional media.
8. Manage all media enquiries, press releases, and public-facing communications.
9. Elevate exposure for racedays, non-racedays, hospitality offerings, and venue hire.
10. Prepare monthly reporting for senior leadership and support board-level insights.
11. Ensure brand consistency and proof all marketing collateral before release.


Requirements:

* Proven experience leading marketing strategy within entertainment, tourism, hospitality, events, or sport.
* Strong capability in campaign delivery, content, PR, brand management, and communication.
* Leadership experience with direct reports and cross-functional collaboration.
* Excellent writing, proofing, and communication skills with strong creative judgement.
* Confidence managing agencies, media partners, PR providers, and external stakeholders.
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link marketing performance to revenue outcomes.
* High level organisation and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* A proactive, hands-on working style aligned with a fast-moving, flat organisational structure.
* A willingness to understand the nuances of racing and avoid inaccurate industry marketing.
