Milling Plant Attendant (Crushing Season) / General Mill Worker (Maintenance Season)
Mackay Sugar is seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join our team.
About the Role
This is a dual-role position that supports operations across both the Crushing and Maintenance seasons. During the Crushing Season, you will be employed as a Milling Plant Attendant, responsible for operating and monitoring the milling train and associated equipment, maintaining plant cleanliness, and reporting performance or equipment issues.
During the Maintenance Season, you will step into the role of General Mill Worker, supporting site maintenance, cleaning and general operational activities.
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you will be a valued member of the Racecourse Production Team, working closely with maintenance personnel and contributing to safe, reliable and productive operations.
What we’re Looking for:

* Adequate mechanical aptitude.
* Hold or are working towards a Turbine Operator (TO) qualification
* Hold or a willing to obtain an Advance Boiler Ticket (BA) qualification
* High Risk Work License not essential but is highly regarded
* Are passionate about learning, improving and making a difference
* Genuine interest in plant operations and industrial processes.
* Strong focus on safety, teamwork, and learning.
* Ability to work shift work in an industrial environment.
* Previous experience in a processing or manufacturing facility (desirable but not essential).
* Currently hold a manual car license
* Bring a positive attitude and thrive in team settings
