Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a Senior Security Consultant to join our Buildings Services team in WA.
This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with our global team of experts within a large and well-established international consultancy, giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships.
Our approach to designing and delivering buildings and facilities rests upon the integration of allied disciplines, in a diverse portfolio of market sectors, with an emphasis on Commercial, Industrial, Transport, and Defence facilities in WA. This creates a multi-disciplinary environment, offering the chance to broaden your experience and propel your career forward through various pathways.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
* Developing and documenting technical design solutions for physical and electronic security in accordance with Australian Government Physical Security, and other site-specific client requirements.
* Providing security design and compliance advice to engineering and architecture teams on exciting projects.
* Providing detailed design documentation that fits the needs of our clients and communities, including:
o Physical security zone plans
o Electronic security plans
o Electronic Access Control Systems
o Intruder Detection Systems and Security Alarm Systems
o Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) and Video Analytics Systems
o Integrated electronic security networks.
* Collaborating in an integrated 3D design environment
* Delivering project solutions to program and budget
* Building and maintaining trust-based, long-term professional relationships with clients across all levels.
* Mentoring junior security professionals in the team
* Opportunities to develop your project leadership and management skills.
What you will bring to the team:
* Electrical, electronics, ICT, telecommunications or computer systems engineering background – desired.
* More than 8+ years' experience in security consulting; advising on physical and electronic security, including design, developing reports and specifications.
* Must hold a current Australian Government security and the ability to obtain relevant security licences across Australia.
* Passion for helping organisations assess and deliver security, risk, strategy and technology.
* Proactive, professional, collaborative and personable approach. Possess a client mindset, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely.
* Highly desirable:
o Familiarity with Defence security requirements
o SCEC and Security construction compliance audits and inspections
o Security qualifications or certificates (such as ASIS International CPP or PSP)
o Experience in the Revit modelling environment.
