We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our Radiation Oncology team.
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in oncology nursing, although not essential as we have a friendly and knowledgeable team who can train you.
You will be part of a small multidisciplinary team delivering best practice Radiation Oncology services, working closely with doctors, patient services, physicists, and radiation therapists.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing exceptional patient care, ensuring patients' physical and psychological needs are met
* Undertaking direct patient care including education, wound management, and medication administration
* Effectively managing patients seen each day
* Facilitating effective lines of communication with the multidisciplinary team
The ideal candidate will possess:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience (preferred)
* Exemplary interpersonal communication skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy for all patients and their carers
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to continuing professional development
* Experience in wound care management
